What kind of disease was this?

When I was born I needed emergency surgery. My mom said part of my bowel died...but that's all i know about it. I am left with 2 huge scars across my stomach and scars on my chest, also a hole from my IV. When I was 8 or 9 I needed a colonoscopy...but i think that's because of my anemia, i know its not a lot of information, im just wondering what you guys might think it could be? I would ask my mom but shes sleeping and not knowing what it is will bug me for the rest of the night. Thank you.
