Alcohol before a colonoscopy?

Once during the prep process using Fleet Phospha Soda, I decided it would be fun to drink the laxative (very salty) with pulp-less Margarita mix and Patron Tequila. It was real good as the tequila helped chase the salty taste That is up until I realized the Tequila was burning it's way through the entire empty colon. In my case, I figured the worst was that the alcohol served to really warm the innards. In hind sight, I should have also realized that the alcohol could be a blood thinner and could have been an issue with bleeding during the procedure. Fortunately for me it didn't cause a problem.
