Christians? why didn't God create adam to the ability to have children without having a woman?

I don't know how an intelligent God created Adam and Adam was lonely but he can't have children without the intervention of a woman, and God created the woman but God punished the woman by giving to her pain for 9 months what kind of God is very smart to create a woman just for giving birth children according to the book and adam isn't able to have children why?
