Ok so its been two years possibily more. I went to see my GP 2 years ago about very frequent urination. Let me explain I usually wake up at least 2-3 times a night to pee (urine is totally clear) and this has happened for a long time. Also if I go out with friends for a drink (alcohol or non alcohol) I have to pee every 15 minutes for the whole night! Doctor told me to train my bladder, I have tried for 2 years and its getting worse. Have had a prostate check about 16 months ago that was fine, had a gastroscopy 14 months ago found many polyps and had Nissen Fundoplication surgery about 12 month ago to fix terrible acid reflux - Still have major urination issues. I have to have a colonoscopy done Thursday. They said I will have conscious sedation. The paperwork says I will be given a sedative and pain meds through an IV before they start. Colonoscopy meds keep making me puke, HELP!?

I know this is gross but I have to have a colonoscopy tomorrow first thing in the morning but I can't keep down the stuff that cleans you bowels. Its a liquid that you're supposed to drink and to me it has no taste. It smells nasty but I put in a flavor packet that mask the smell pretty well for me. So I'm sure I'm not puking it up cause of the gross factor cause to me taste and smell are no problem. So I have been dealing with GI problems since august 2009. im a 20 yr old female this all started after having my gallbladder taken out. I have been dealing with my symptoms for over 2 yrs now I have been on the verge of giving up I have been to doctor to doctor none of them taking me seriously. I have been in and out of hospitals/ ERs for the same symptoms. Symptoms being abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, fevers, diarrhea, and blood in my stools. My most recent GI did a colonoscopy he said that looked like ulcerative colitis but had to wait on the biopsies. The night after the procedure I got real sick and ended up in the ER and was admitted for 24 hrs to be rehydrated. Doctor released me and said to wait for him to call with biopsies. In the meantime my primary had started me on a med called asicol for ulcerative colitis. GI called said biopsies came back good nothing showed I told him that my primary had started me on the med and he said to stop taking it. A few weeks ago I ended up in the ER with the worse episode I have ever had I was vomiting straight bile and my diarrhea had blood in it. ER doctor did not do much she gave me fluids and nausea meds. She released me a few hours later. I got an appt with my GI to follow up from the ER and now hes saying it is ulcerative colitis that he must have not biopsies the right area. I am now on Lidia and my symptoms are still the same I have only been on it for 2 days so I have to give it more time to work I guess. But the worst part of all this is no one in my family had this condition. Im scared to tell my friend as well as this new guy im talking to. Ive been doing research. Unexplained bleeding from bowel?

Kind of gross I'm sorry but I'm running out of ideas. Since I had my baby nearly 3 years ago I have been suffering on and off from bleeding from the bowel. It comes and goes (always seems to go when I get to the specialists office :\) and nobody has been able to give me a reason for it. I used haemmorrhoid ointments for nearly two years with no success and have had a colonoscopy performed with clear results. I might get a couple of episodes in close proximity then it could be weeks to months before it happens again. Has happened at least a dozen times or more It is bright red, there is alot of it, as much as you'd see with a heavy period, only bleeds when I use my bowel and doesn't hurt. I have also suffered pain in the right of my abdomen for the same length of time along with a funny popping feeling in the same area this isn't always happening in conjunction with the bleeding but usually is around the same time. During an exploratory laparoscopic surgery to look for endometriosis,they found an inflamed mass on my colon?

They found a large inflamed mass on the outside of my colon and had attached itself to a ligament. They cauterized the part that was attached to the ligament. The OBGYN said that they didn't remove it because it was very large and inflamed, they didn't know what it was, and it wasn't in his "area". They asked the general surgeon to come in and he didn't know what it was either, so they left it.He said to remove it is a more in depth surgery. I went to GI today and he is doing a colonoscopy but said that I would still need another surgery to remove the mass from my colon to see what it was. My question is, can they do laparoscopic surgery to remove the mass attached to the colon or will this be a large incision and more detailed? Same day procedure or a stay at the hospital. From what I understood, they can't cauterize anything on the colon because the sparks could kill the colon and people die, according to my OBGYN. What can I eat just before a colonoscopy?

No soups as they frequently have solids or are not clear. When I had had mine, I was able to have a light breakfast the day before and then it was bullion, jello and clear drinks (non-carbonated). Nothing with orange, red or purple color as they contain red dye which can effect the color of the colon and make it appear inflamed. Nothing with pulp (orange juice, grapefruit juice, etc). No dairy products. A general rule of thumb is if you can't hold up the glass and see through the liquid, you can't drink it. I drank lots of fluids (apple juice, white grape juice, gatorade, etc). Plenty of jello was consumed as well as broth and/or bullion. I would avoid the beef bullion as it has specs of beef in it. Remember you are trying to clear your digestive tract; solids require digestion whereas a clear liquid can be absorbed. Also you are attempting to keep yourself hydrated because the laxatives (particularly PEG based laxatives) are osmotic and will be removing fluids from your body making your have loose movements.

Okay about a year ago I had a colonoscopy because I was having diarrhea many times a week. I also was having stomach pains to the point it would be make sweat. This lasted for about 9 months. They found nothing.It got a little better but now the diarrhea is back and I can't figure out why. I also have a dull pain on my right side that I can not explain. I also am a nursing student and was practicing glucose tests in class. I took mine and it was 37 which is crazy low. I checked it again and the meter was correct. Should I be worried? medical question?

After a routine checkup at the doctors (an annual physical) the doctor saw that it had been quite a few years since my mom had gone to get any tests done (she hates going to the doctor) so she took a blood test right then and there. The blood test came back fine. She also suggested she go for a colonoscopy, a bone density test, a mammogram, and a chest x ray. I've heard of people going for colonoscopies, bone density tests & mammograms just to check and make sure everything's fine but I've never heard of anyone going for a chest x ray unless they suspect something's wrong, right? Is this just routine or do you think the doctor felt something was wrong? She didn't tell her to go right away, she actually made her wait a few days so she could get the refferals together but I still feel like a chest x ray isn't routine. Does anybody know about this? I can't precisely answer your question but I've had at least a dozen kidney stones so I can tell you about the symptoms. The fact that you have "attacks" sounds like kidney stones. They come and go, and when you have a kidney stone attack, it can put on the floor writhing in pain. People who have never had them can't believe they hurt so much and they think you're just a wuss. But my mother had two difficult labors and she also had kidney stones, and she told me the kidney stones hurt worse than childbirth - and the attacks could go on as long as labor and delivery. My pain always started in the back, just above the hip and below the rib cage. It's not like pain from spine problems - it actually occurs a couple of inches away from the spine. Sometimes my pain would radiate around to the front and down into the groin. I found the only thing that helped relieve the pain (outside of some very heavy painkillers) was lying in the bathtub in warm water. No doctor ever told me to do that - I just figured it out because I was trying everything I could. Not exactly what you asked, but I hope it helps.

Why are nurses answering questions doctors should be answering now a days ?

I 'm so sick of it. Nurses pretending to be doctors. Or these nurse practitioners thinking they are doctors ? What's up with this ? I recently had lab work done and a nurse from the doctor;s office calls me and says my doctor wants me to see a hematologist because my blood count is 4.4 and it was 6 point something in Dec. and she says it's because it involves your white count not red. Than she starts talking about bone marrow and how my bone marrow might not be right ? How does she know this. Well I had enough and called back the office and told them I wanted to talk to my doctor. So they put me over to an answering machine to my doctors assistant. So I left a message saying I want to talk to my doctor. Another time when I had to have my colonoscopy I made an appointment , when I got there they had me talk to a nurse practitioner . She took my history, I told her I have a mitra valve prolapse she went on to tell me that I didn't have a mitral valve prolapse because she didn't hear a click with the stethoscope. Boy what a nerve ! I most certainly do. I was going to report her but she called me back and apologized. Boy this practice of patients not be able to talk to a doctor and just discuss their case with a nurse needs to stop. I never did see a doctor prior to my colonscopy. I had a colonoscopy today after going through diohria and pain for 5 years and my dr said that my small bowl did not look normal and that she has never seen anything like it, they found inflammation but said it didn't look like typical IBD however it could be a type of IBD that shes never seen before, I'm a bit of a worrier and i worry that it might be cancer or something, would they tell you if they thought it was? they took lots of biopsies and i have to wait 6 weeks and feel like im going crazy, also in the report under diagnosis it says Ileitis and under advise it says appearances are unusual and there were marked lymphoid hyperplasia in the ileum and just wondered if anyone had any ideas of what it could mean it also says I might need capsule endoscopy or mri scan of the small bowel so very worried, thank you.

hi i am a 21 year old female for the past month or so i have been having bloody and mucusly bowl movements(some times only blood would come out) so as you could imagine this was very scary for me. I went to the GI who told me he would like to perform a colonoscopy on me to see exactly what was going on. he said it could be anything from as harmless as a bacterial infection( which i hoped it was) to ulcerated colitis or crohn's. after the colonoscopy he told me i had stage 1 internal hemroids and didn't know if i had ulcerated colitis, crohns, or diverticulitis, or just a bad infection(from a bad case of food poisoning). he then told me i would have to have some blood test done to find out exactly what i had. i didn't understand why i could not have taken the blood test before the colonoscopy this made no since to me. i feel like my doctor is very indecisive. Any way after the prep i was pretty raw down there despite using Vaseline and baby wipes. but recently i have started itching in my anus as well as burning in my Perineal area after a bowl movement or even just peeing. im worried i could have gotten some kind of yeast infection or tear from the colonoscopy it self please help.

Anal Bleeding in 31 yr old male?

Hi! I need advice for my 31 yr old brother. About 6 mos-1 year ago, his anus starting bleeding like a normal hemorrhoid would. No biggy b/c it was not that much blood, just an average amount. For the last couple of weeks, he has a pain about 5 inches up from his rectum. Everytime he has a b.m., blood pours out. The blood is like a purple to black color. He is in severe pain when he makes a b.m. He went for a colonoscopy yesterday and they couldnt complete the test because he was in so much pain. They said they have to send him somewhere that can put him under first. Well he thinks the drs set something off from yesterday b/c today when he has a b.m., he is gushing what seems to be like lots of cups of black/purple blood. He went to do the ER tonight and they sent him home after his blood work came back normal. Has anyone ever heard of this and what can he do to help it. He said he cries a lot in pain. He is overweight, drinks regularly and smokes (if that helps). Thanks for any help you can give.

TSH is 7.3. Is that high?

I am a 33yr old woman and my TSH level is 7.3 and my physician said that it was a "borderline" high level. My iron is low as well but I've had low iron off and on my whole life. All other bloodwork is normal including T4 and T3. From what I've read for the past hour on-line, 7.3 is a high value for TSH. Does anyone know? I have not been feeling well for a while now and trying to figure out what's going on. My physician didn't seem to be concerned at all about my TSH level and asked me to come back in a month for a re-check of it. Is my physician correct in not being concerned at this point? I do know that instead of weight gain, that hypothyroidism can cause, I am having weight loss....but I can't eat hardly anything solid w/out vomitting. I'm living mostly off of protein drinks, yogurt, nuts, soup...etc. I am so tired all of the time and all I want to do is sleep, I'm depressed, sweat very badly when doing any physical activity(never been one to sweat much), constipated, have severe stomach pains from time to time and very frequently have severe nausea (w/out vomitting). I have several other symptoms too but those are my most aggervating ones. I have an Ultrasound scheduled to check gallbladder & if that's normal I'm having an EGD/Colonoscopy. I also had a colonoscopy 10 yrs ago when the bleeding first began that too was negative. I am so petrified that I may have colon cancer. I have heard so many stories about mis diagnosis and it's driving me crazy. I am 40yrs old and never had any health problems. I did have a full cardiac workup due to the tachycardia and no underlying cause was found they just gave me propranolol to take once a day to slow my heart rate. I am going back to the dr. next week and I am going to insist he refer me to a gastro dr. If anyone has any advice or knowledge please don't hesitate to reply. Thank You.

I have problems with my father. Should he get anything for Father's day?

My father used to be a role model for me. He worked hard. He had a good job. He paid the bills and we went on vacations. Then about 6 years ago he started making bad choices. First he got a DUI. I remember that night perfectly because I was the only other one in the car with him riding in the passenger seat. That set our family back about 10,000 dollars in court fees and fines. However after the DUI he lost his license and the company went under. About a year ago he found a decent job working for a catering company. He says he enjoys it but I just simply shrug I dont care. I am extremely disappointed in my father. I never ask him for some money for school or to go out because he never has any. I left for my second year of college in august thinking that when I came back for Thanksgiving I would see some change. There was none. My mom has diabetes but yet shes also working and she is definitely the one who holds the house (apartment) down. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment on the fourth floor with no lift. When my father comes back from work I tend to leave to go out with some friends, go to the gym, jog or go biking. My fathers birthday was a week ago. I made sure not to see him that day at all. I left the entire day. By the time I came back it had already past. He drinks on occasion by himself and comes back drunk. He doesn't abuse my mom because he knows that this time he'd never get out of jail but it is not a sight I like seeing. As I'm typing this right now he's sleeping on the couch. He's been sleeping on the couch since last year. Do I feel sorry for him? Very little. But, from everything you've described, I'm also suspicious that you have Chron's Disease. Nobody can diagnose you over a yahoo answer board, but your symptoms are, for the most part, consistent with Chron's. This can be a bothersome condition that can flare up and then subside for awhile, so you may notice this condition tends to come and go. It can also be very frustrating to treat, and you may not be successful in getting long-term control over this. For now, if you are seeing a good Gastroenterologist, you're doing just about everything you can do. If this IS Chron's, then you may be in for a lifetime of problems. Let your doctor poke around and see if he can come up with a better answer. Or, you might consider a trip to someplace like the Mayo Clinic for some advanced studies. I can't tell you that it would help, but at least you would know that you've done everything you can to get relief. Good luck. Oh, and consider a career as an English teacher.

My question is; how can we afford to invade a foreign country, spend �10bn under the pretenses of 'helping the people there.' I'm only 16, but how can we help others, if our own country has got problems? We have got people sleeping on the streets of LONDON, the financial CAPITAL of the WORLD. The top 500 businesses of Europe have all got headquarters in this city, yet we have got people sleeping on the streets. How can the Queen justify living in Buckingham Palace, a place with like a thousand rooms, which about 90 percent will go unused for years, yet we have got homeless people? Furthermore, do people not realize how corrupt our government is? Look at these 3 countries we have recently invaded; Afghanistan, Iraq and now Libya. If we really wanted to help people; why did we not invade and take over; Somalia, Congo, Zimbabwe? Because the government doesn't CARE, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya have got oil, Somalia, Congo and Zimbabwe do not. They (government) only care about how they look in the world. Can you request general anesthesia instead of sedation?

I am having an ERCP, internal ultrasound and colonoscopy done on the 25th and the scheduling nurse just informed me that I would be sedated not anethesised as I believed. I am freaked out about this, since when I had a cyst removed from under my arm I was sedated and still remember bits and pieces. I do not want to remember a camera down my throat and up my derriere. Plus, I have a hard time staying under with sedation...is it common or acceptable for a patient to request general anesthesia instead?

Im getting a colonoscopy Friday.I have really bad side affects to almost all medications.Like stiffness in muscles, swelling in throat, severe confusion panic attacks...etc. Ive told my doctors this, and they are planning on giving me the medication anyway, or doing it without medication.They are not taking this seriously.I almost died in 2000 from bad side affects out at the hospital.Im not able to get a new doctor right now.Ive been very ill for 14 months, i had gallbladder surgery 2 months ago, but it didn't help my stomach pain at all. Any ideas on how to get my doctor to take me seriously? Im freaking out! Ive already had CT scans an MRI and now this.I know i need this done, and i can't afford to lose my doctor, i cannot get another one at this time.Any ideas on what i should do, ive tried everything to make them understand this. Don't get worked up worrying about a colonoscopy. It's actually not a difficult procedure at all, and you won't be uncomfortable. Usually, they give you a drug called Versed, which is a short-acting sedative that trims off all the fear and anxiety, also dulling any sensation of discomfort. It's a very quick procedure, too, only taking a short time to perform. And it can be a true lifesaver. If they find any polyps (pre-cancerous) growths, they can quickly remove them with absolutely zero pain or sensation (no nerve endings up there), and you'll suddenly realize that they just saved you from colon cancer somewhere in your future. It's very well worth any inconvenience or a slight bit of discomfort. Don't worry about it. You'll be fine.

Is it safe to take codeine after a colonoscopy?

Like morphine and heroin, codeine is a narcotic. These drugs decrease the peristaltic contractions of the large intestine. This increases water absorption but can lead to constipation. There may be the chance of inflammation if there is material in the large intestine, but as I understand, as much material is emptied as possible from the large intestine prior to the colonoscopy. If you want to take a narcotic to alleviate pain, I would avoid eating after both the colonoscopy and taking any narcotics. My advice is to discuss this with your doctor.

Itching after colonoscopy?

hi i am a 21 year old female for the past month or so i have been having bloody and mucusly bowl movements(some times only blood would come out) so as you could imagine this was very scary for me. I went to the GI who told me he would like to perform a colonoscopy on me to see exactly what was going on. he said it could be anything from as harmless as a bacterial infection( which i hoped it was) to ulcerated colitis or crohn's. after the colonoscopy he told me i had stage 1 internal hemroids and didn't know if i had ulcerated colitis, crohns, or diverticulitis, or just a bad infection(from a bad case of food poisoning). he then told me i would have to have some blood test done to find out exactly what i had. i didn't understand why i could not have taken the blood test before the colonoscopy this made no since to me. i feel like my doctor is very indecisive. Any way after the prep i was pretty raw down there despite using Vaseline and baby wipes. but recently i have started itching in my anus as well as burning in my Perineal area after a bowl movement or even just peeing. im worried i could have gotten some kind of yeast infection or tear from the colonoscopy it self please help.

Where is the IV placement site for a colonoscopy?

I'm having a colonoscopy done next month and I'm terrible with needles, but am okay when they're placed on a specific place (On the crease on my right arm) since the rest of the area on both of my arms is EXTREMELY senstive, something the doctors can't explain. Anyway, the hospital I'm getting the procedure done at (a children's hospital since I'm only fifteen) for some reason almost always places the IV on the hand, even for ER patients (something I learned the hard way) Those that have ever had an IV in the hand know how painful they are compared to other sites. I have never been sedated for any of my colonoscopies. Every time, I have had at least one polyp removed (I watch them do it on the screen) and I have never had any pain. A sigmoidoscopy only looks at the sigmoid colon. If you have masses or polyps in the sigmoid colon, it is likely you also have them in other parts of the colon. You're going to have a baby. The discomfort of the colonoscopy is far less that labor pains and it will give you practice for panting to relief the pain.

Did you have any side effects using the DulcoLax/MiraLax with Gatorade Colonoscopy Prep?

Recently had about my 8th colonoscopy and yes they changed the prep. I had the Miralax, Bisacodyl, only I drank the miralax with juice. The only reason they tell you to use gatorade is because it's full of electrolytes which you need because with the BMs, you will loose a lot of your electrolytes most important, potassium. So if you like the taste of gatorade, ( I despise it) then use it. You will not be up all night. I was not. I started when I was told and I slept like a baby. Once this stuff takes effect, you will go not every hour, but more than that. It's very effective. Eat your Jello and stay home. Watch movies, but know this, there are no harsh side effects, no nausea, no vomiting. I didn't experience any of that. Good luck, and hope all comes out well, (Bad joke, sorry)

If it is murder and the woman has hired someone to commit the murder it stands to reason...she should be charged. How tricky would that be? So, if the state insists on involuntary full term pregnancies...pay the lady! Or, call it murder and put her on trial. How are we expected to believe in any form of deity given the condition of the world we live in?

I am a Catholic (sort of) and no matter how much I try to believe that there is some form of God looking out for me and all other believers, I can't wrap my head around it. To me, a truly caring God wouldn't subjugate His children to live in a world like this, where rape, murder, greed, and war are commonplace. To me, He would make his presence known; to tell His children that they are not alone and that He will help them and love them no matter what happens. Contrarily, I've seen no indication that there is any such thing as Divine Intervention or that God involves himself in the affairs of mortals at all. If God wants all of His children to get into Heaven, wouldn't he erase any doubt that he exists by simply coming down from Heaven and making it clear that He does? It just doesn't make sense to me...

Interesting case of Academic Dishonesty in High School?

I don't know exactly, since i attend a public school and not an online school, but in the case of my school he would be suspended. We've had people copy essays and submit them as their own. I remember watching my teacher call down the superintendent, hand her a copy of all the essays, and the guy who copied was expelled because he didn't just copy here and there he copied the entire essay. I'm sure he didn't get off scott free. He better get some form of punishment, i find it ridiculous and stupid of someone across the country to hack an account, copy all the work and claim it as his own.

Unsuccessful colonoscopy prep....followed all directions. Why?? Have to redo next month!!?

I drank all liquids, didn't go until 2 1/2 hours after I finished ALL liquids. Had severe cramps, like childbirth and vomited an hour after finishing liquids. Didn't eat that day or next morning. I was still far from empty the next day. My doctor never had seen this before. I have to now drink 2 gallons and not eat solid food for 2 days. Could there be something else going on with me?? Why do people resort to self destruction as a...?

way to cope with a past or present crisis in their lives? I'm watching intervention and these ppl just resort to drugs as a solution to their problems, whether it be an emotional or physical defect resulting from abuse etc. I was abused by my father and I have never done drugs or drink. Why is it that for the past 2.5yrs I have been stalked harassed, abused, assaulted, threatened on an average of once a week, that i have reported all these things & the police do NOTHING. I had to myself take out intervention orders on these 2 ppl (mother & a daughter) for myself & my kids. Only to get on that can only prevent them from talking to us. I have had them extended twice now so obviously the court sees they are in the wrong. They fear them & a traumatised sometimes too scared for school as the daughter has a child in my sons class so this makes it hard because they are forever hanging around the classroom which makes my son very uncomfortable. They continue to intimidate which all they have to do is be around for that to happen, the school are hopeless & even when things were set in place to stop them they just disregarded them anyway & the school are too scared to stop them also. 3 mths ago my husband had enough when he witnessed my daughter have a nervous breakdown at school just from them being there. he decided to have a chat with the Grandmother in the main st. it was of course quite heated & he did use the occassional swear word, they also abused him back even though he tried walking away 3 times, the grandmother was trying to get him to hit her by asking him to do it, the daughter was also yelling abuse. she followed him to his ute & pushed him in the back almost making him hit the ground, he swung around with his hand, expecting another hit from her as she was the one who assaulted me, & she was right behind him so the tip of his fingers slightly brushed her hair. she grabbed at her face & pretended to fall to the ground, she is saying that he hit her in the face. To make matters worse her daughter & 2 other ppl are also saying hes done it, of course none of them are saying that my husband was pushed & abused also. A witness across the street saw the push, she went to the police & told them my husband was pushed but the police arent even going to use her statment in court, yet they are taking the word of 3 well known criminals & drug dealers. I dont know how clear I am being in this as there is soooo much more to the events over the past 2.5yrs. I just want to know what I can do, where do we stand legally. He is being charged with offensive behaviour in public which is something that they do an a regualr basis & never get charged so why is it that my husband was defending his children the police arrest him for it. I have nowhere left to turn, they have destroyed every part of our lives, we have none of our friendships we had before all this, my own father has taken their side, the police wont listen, my kids cant live a fully normal life as we live ina tiny town there is no way of avoiding them which means they cant atend sports, dances etc. And as for my marriage well, i dont know how much longer we will be together, too much stress, we dont blame each other for all this but we always seem to end up arguing like we do. Also, if Aspergers really is what you've had all along, that means that your sister has some APOLOGIZING to do that she may not be ready for. She also may not be ready to let go of her perceptions of you or the dynamic of your relationship with her being the normal one who's annoyed with or embarrassed of you. Maybe she feels like a jackazz. :) Give her a lot more time... months... maybe a year or more. Once during the prep process using Fleet Phospha Soda, I decided it would be fun to drink the laxative (very salty) with pulp-less Margarita mix and Patron Tequila. It was real good as the tequila helped chase the salty taste That is up until I realized the Tequila was burning it's way through the entire empty colon. In my case, I figured the worst was that the alcohol served to really warm the innards. In hind sight, I should have also realized that the alcohol could be a blood thinner and could have been an issue with bleeding during the procedure. Fortunately for me it didn't cause a problem.

Is a free capitalist economy really "uber-efficient", from a human point of view?

Proponents of no or limited government intervention in the free market process say that government can only make it less efficient, with essentially no real benefits to society. But the reason for this is that the free market is the most adaptive system of providing for consumer demands that we know of. But consumer demands are skewed sharply in favor of the wealthy, whereas the poor are left in poverty, and the distribution of income is flawed to begin with, since the rich capitalists receive more income than they reasonably worked for, the working class are exploited, making less than they deserve, and the unintentionally unemployed are simply left out of the equation altogether, not even given the chance to take part in the system. My point being that, from a human, moral standpoint, if this system gears production towards that of luxury goods for the rich, and fails to allocate enough goods to the working poor, which is clearly not a goal of society as a whole, wouldn't this be an inefficient allocation of society's resources? Wouldn't a reasonable redistribution of income be necessary, at least just enough to provide a lower limit to the livings standards of the working class?
