Will nurses put a T-Shirt one someone when they're unconscious?

So, my dad (as sad as it sounds) has a colonoscopy on his birthday and has requested that he be knocked out during the occasion. I'm making him a t-shirt for his birthday (with nothing to do with the stuff mentioned before) and I thought it would be cool if he woke up wearing the shirt. Will the nurses put the shirt on him if I ask them to, will I have to put the shirt on him myself, or will I have to wait until he wakes up?
