Questions about humanities stream?

I was wondering I should take up the humanities stream after tenth. I wanted to ask what subjects are included? And do we get some choice? If so, which one is the best to go for? I have a faint idea that psychology has a good scope abroad? I wish to go into a university abroad after doing my twelth grade from India. Which universities should I aim for? Do they have some criteria for taking children, if so what is it? And this is a long term thing, but just to convince my parents, what are the salaries that are offered? Thank you. And sorry, I just had a blurred idea about all this.
