Giving birth and Medical Intervention?

There is a tremendous amount of unnecessary medical intervention in the birth process. Having rates of c-sections of 30-35% and up to 50-55% at some hospitals is proof enough of that. World Health Organization recommends that a rate of 10% is more in line with what is actually necessary or beneficial. Many countries have rates that low with very low infant and maternal morbidity and mortality.
